A Look Back at the original The Wonder Years

Created initially by Neal Marlens and Carol Black, this series was envisioned as a family show that would strike a chord with the baby-boomer generation. No wonder it was set in the late 60s. It was an era that was marked by a slew of radical changes in the history of America. The makers also wanted the show to chronicle the life of a normal boy who grows up during this period.
The original series had America watching Fred Savage growing up. And now he will be shown as all grown up with a flourishing career as both an actor and director. Fans will be delighted to know that Savage is one of the creative forces behind the reboot of this hugely popular series!
What to Expect The Wonder Years Hill Reboot?
Dule Hill is going to feature in ABC’s The Wonder Years single-camera comedy reboot pilot. He will star as a lead opposite Elisha “EJ” Williams and Saycon Sengbloh. This reboot of the classic 1980s family comedy-drama, written by Patterson and directed by Savage, narrates the story of the Williamses, a Black middle-class family in Montgomery, Alabama, in the turbulent late 1960s.
