With the holidays in full-swing, snow falling and a palpable chill in the air, what sounds better than staying in, cuddling up with a glass of wine and watching a Christmas movie?

If you ask us? Nothing.

And, luckily — because it’s 2018 and all — we have dozens of holiday movies right at our fingertips. Netflix has truly transformed the holiday season, making it easier than ever before to binge-watch happy, sad, silly and romantic holiday films.

But, there’s also a downside to that — with dozens of titles to choose from, where are you supposed to start?

Don’t freak out! We’ve got you covered.

We’ve scoured the Netflix holiday offering and selected a hearty handful of festive, fearless and downright fun holiday movies to get you in the spirit this season.

Get the popcorn and the bottle opener ready. It’s going to be a long night.

8 Holiday Movies On Netflix To Binge-Watch This Weekend

1. How The Grinch Stole Christmas

How The Grinch Stole Christmas is a holiday classic — even if Jim Carrey’s Grinch left you with nightmares when you were younger.

This live-action holiday tale follows the Grinch and his vendetta against all things Christmas and Whoville. And, honestly, who can blame him?

Of course, hilarity ensues throughout this Christmas classic. And, the story never gets old.

2. A Christmas Prince

This movie really exploded in popularity when it was released by Netflix last year. It tells a story that every girl can relate to — especially those aspiring for greatness and true love.

A Christmas Prince tells the story of a young journalist who travels abroad to find the perfect story to skyrocket her career. And, along the way, she meets a real-life prince. The rest is history.

Okay, yes this story is a bit cheesy, but sometimes that’s exactly what you need. And, viewers loved it considering Netflix came out with the sequel this year.

3. A Christmas Prince: The Royal Wedding

A Christmas Prince was so popular that Netflix decided to continue the story this holiday season. And, we’re sure glad they did!

A Christmas Prince: The Royal Wedding is the story of our favorite fairytale lovers and their journey towards marriage and happily ever after. It’s not quite as poignant as the first, but this is definitely a feel-good movie you want to add to your watchlist — especially if you loved the first one!

4. The Princess Switch

The Princess Switch was another Netflix hit released this year.

This holiday story follows two women who look the same but live two, very different lives. One’s a duchess, the other is an ordinary girl from Chicago. But, when the two switch places in the days leading up to Christmas, magic happens and romance ensues.

And, don’t worry, there’s just a hint of drama to keep you on the edge of your seat.

5. Love Actually

Love Actually is a Christmas classic! This collection of powerful stories really captures the true spirit of the holidays, filling you with joy, nostalgia and just a twinge of sadness.

Love Actually connects 9 different stories all centered around love. The characters range in age, but the sentiment is still clear and tangible. And, it stays with you long after the credits roll.

6. The Holiday Calendar

The Holiday Calendar was the first holiday movie released by Netflix this year — and it doesn’t disappoint.

If you love a little magic in your holiday movies, this one is definitely for you. This story follows a magical advent calendar and a blossoming young couple. It’s fun. It’s energetic. And, it’s almost too romantic for words.

It’s priceless.

7. Christmas Inheritance

Christmas Inheritance is a solid movie about a girl who humbles herself over the holiday season. The protagonist starts the movie a spoiled, rich brat ready to inherit her father’s company. But, before she can seal the deal, she has to learn how to be humble and help others.

This is definitely a story we can all get behind.

8. Bad Santa

If you like your Christmas with a side of raunchy, then Bad Santa is a film you definitely have to see.

This dark comedy follows two con men that reunite every year around the holidays to dupe people out of their money — all while dressed as Santa and his elf helper. Only this year, somethings off.

Get ready to cry tears of laughter with this one.
