Many people when shopping for couches are thinking about what looks best. That is why in celebrity homes or your favorite reality show a lot tend to have settees because they look more elegant. The point of these couches is to make the living room look more modern and usually sit only a couple of people.
They are not good for multi-people seating or for having a couple of friends over and hanging out. If you live alone or want a small cute couch for your home, the settee is for you.

They also come in leather or microfiber which are durable. If you want a couch to entertain on or have a movie night on the sofa is definitely the best choice.
Use a Settee Anywhere In Your House!
When it comes to settees, because they tend to be small in size, you can put them anywhere around the house. If you ever been to someone’s house who has these, you’ll notice a settee in the most random spaces. The spaces will either be in the entrance, bedrooms, dining rooms, in the living room in its own section, etc.
They are perfect for those who have a lot of guests over and need multiple places for people to sit. It also looks better than just having random chairs for your guests. Lastly, with the right throw pillows and curtains, it will accentuate the room.
Which Looks Better?
Obviously, when it comes to comfort and an easier find, sofas are the top option. But, if you are focusing on which looks better then the settee is the winner. Even though sofas are more comfortable, settees aren’t too bad either.
I personally have a settee and have taken many naps on it so it is comfortable. It also gives the room an elegant and modern look to it as well. Make sure when you buy it to also buy stylish throw pillows and rug to match.
