There are a million stereotypes when it comes to plus-size models. And, most of them are not very nice. People often joke that these women are unhealthy or don’t care about their bodies. But, that’s just not true!

Like any model, these girls have strict routines. They are career-minded women who know what it takes to succeed in their division of the fashion industry.

So, let us debunk these stereotypes for you and inform you on what plus-size models really do to keep their honey buns in check and their bodies feeling good.

They’re Active

Unlike popular belief, these bodacious women are active. Every. Single. Day. They have workout routines that they adhere to in order to keep their skin glowing, body toned in all the right places, and their overall health in check.

The modeling industry is about appearance. And, these career models know what they have to do in order to stay in the game and on the runway.

They’re Not Intimidated At the Gym

Don’t feel bad for plus-size models. You might think that they’re intimidated by the size 2 girl running next to them on the treadmill at the gym. But, the truth is- they’re so not!

These confident ladies own their bodies and workout at their own pace. They’re not going to kill themselves trying to keep up with the person next to them. They are bootyful and proud.

They Work On Every Part Of Themselves

People get the wrong idea when it comes to the workout routines of larger-sized models. They believe that plus-size models can only workout certain parts of their bodies in order to keep their curvy shape.

But, really, plus-size models work on every part of their bodies in order to keep everything perfect for their fashion division. They practice cardio, weights, and yoga to ensure they are totally photo-ready.

They Use Coaches

These women are amazing, but no woman can do everything on her own. So, it’s true that these models work with coaches in order to get the best results.

Coaches are handy in the plus-size modeling world because they know how to tailor workouts that will keep their client healthy and at the desired size for the industry.

They Don’t Workout to Change Their Body

This shouldn’t be that shocking. But, the goal of a plus-size model is not to change what she looks like. It’s to feel good and stay healthy, which is what working out should be about.

These women don’t go into the gym craving to fit into a smaller size. They go into the gym with the mindset of doing something good for their bodies and taking care of their health.

They Do What They Love

If everyone did what they loved when it came to fitness, then the fitness community would be a whole lot happier! These ladies don’t run to fit in their cardio for the week if they hate running.

If jumping on a trampoline or taking a hike sounds more appealing, then that’s what they’re going to do. There is no use in torturing yourself daily if there are so many other healthy options, and these women understand that.

They Don’t Obsess

There is absolutely no room for obsession in the plus-size fashion industry. Many plus-size models have struggled with unhealthy habits of weight obsession in their lives, but they have learned to separate it from their careers.

Curvier women understand their place in the fashion industry. And, they are not about to jeopardize a career because a few critics have some snarky comments to share with the press.

They Eat Healthy

Not only do these models exercise to take care of their bodies, but they also fuel their bodies with the healthiest foods. Most models in the industry have very strict diet routines, and larger models are no exception.

These diets usually consist of green juices, whole grains, lean proteins, and healthy fats and sugars. There is no lack of vitamins for these beautiful goddesses.

They Don’t Put Their Lives On Hold

These women know the value of life and all its celebratory memories. That’s why if they want to have drinks with friends to commemorate a career change or indulge in grandma’s lasagna at Sunday dinner, they do.

Life is not all about being fit, healthy, and perfect all the time. There are always exceptions to when you can break your diet for the night or say ‘no’ to an early morning yoga sesh. Life comes up and people need to let loose once in a while. And, plus-size models are the queen of balance.
