Kohl’s and Adidas have partnered with actress Zoe Saldana for the new collection. As a trained ballet dancer, Zoe is well equipped to stress the importance of keeping active for both our physical and mental well-being.

Saldana told Refinery29: “Kohl’s is a brand that has taken pride in making its products financially accessible to the larger American population.” A healthy lifestyle should be accessible for all, and Saldana is passionate about helping make the change.

Saldana not only wanted to make sure the line was affordable for all but wanted to use the collection as a way to “highlight, support and celebrate women of color”. The advertising campaign includes women of minorities, who are often underrepresented in the fashion industry.
Zoe Saldana is Puerto Rican-Dominican American. Speaking about how she grew up seeing very little representation in the fashion industry, Zoe wanted to create a line that every woman could see themself in.
Zoe’s strong belief in a more inclusive world has been her mission for some time. Making it her mission to champion other Latinx women, Zoe founded BESE in 2018.
BESE is a media company that focuses on amplifying Latinx voices. The mission statement reads: “BESE’s mission is to broaden & reshape the existing narrative by shining light on the untold stories that reflect today’s America.” Zoe has spoken about the “immense” contributions that POC have given to the US.
A Line For Strong Women
The exciting new collection was designed with the modern woman in mind. Saldana hopes that the new line will help her connect with other women as she has stressed the importance of female relationships. Motivated by strong women, Sadana is inspired by how women “face their adversities with the conviction and certainty” in a way that demonstrates “they can achieve anything.”
Adidas has featured many inspiring campaigns for women that echo Zoe Saldana’s sentiment. Last year, Adidas launched the campaign #FasterThan with the aim of inspiring women to participate and celebrate sports in their daily lives. The campaign featured influencers and athletes, seeking to encourage women to enjoy sports and overcome their challenges and self-doubt.
Kohls’ Hours & Locations
The current Kohl’s hours for New York stores are 10 am to 10 pm. Fortunately for us, you will find the new collection at all Kohl’s store locations in New York. Nearly 500 stores stock this collection.
The size-inclusive collection is available in size XS to XXL and can also be bought online or at Adidas.com. Due to the pandemic, Kohl’s hours also include a senior hour from 9 am-10 am and they are offering curbside pickup.
