American actress Katrina Law was born in Philadelphia and grew up in Deptford Township, New Jersey. Having been crowned Miss New Jersey Teen USA, Law is best known for her roles in the ‘Starz’ television series, and ‘Spartacus: Blood and Sand,’ as well as ‘Spartacus: Vengeance’ which she played Mira.
Some of Law’s other illustrious roles include Nyssa Al Ghul, on The CW television series ‘Arrow;’ Karen Beach, on the Sony Crackle series ‘The Oath;’ and Quinn Liu on the CBS series ‘Hawaii Five-O.’
Where Her Roots Lie?
Born to a Taiwanese mother and father who is half German and half-Italian, Katrina Law pursued a bachelors’ degree in Theatre from the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey. After that, she moved to Philadelphia to further pursue courses in acting. An energetic child, Law explored dance, voice coaching, gym, karate, soccer, and more such activities from quite a young age.
A Versatile Kid
Her journey towards fame began at the tender age of ten with her debut appearance on television as part of a Chinese movie. Here she was seen talking in Mandarin. As a teenager, she represented her home state, New Jersey, on national television. This was after Katrina Law was crowned the Miss New Jersey Teen USA.
During her high school years, she participated in sports as part of her varsity team. Alongside, she also performed as a cheerleader and became a member of The National Honours.
The First Step to Success
In 2000, she bagged a small role in ‘Lucky Numbers,’ a comedy flick directed by Nora Ephron. Law was also starred along with John Travolta. She managed to earn her SAG status on a film set and eventually landed a guest role in the NBC crime drama series ‘Third Watch’ in 2001.
Her big break came after she worked on the web series ‘The Resistance’ in 2010. This low-budget series, directed by Adrian Picardi, had Law as the female lead. She also starred in another ‘Starz’ series, ‘Spartacus: Blood and Sand.’ In the 2017 CBS crime-thriller ‘Training Day,’ her television endeavor had her essaying Detective Rebecca Lee’s role.

A Gifted Singer
Unknown to many, Katrina Law is exceptionally gifted as a singer. She has been the lead singer and bass player in the Southern California band Sandboard Fiction. Having started singing ever since she was three, Law eventually went on to master both acoustic guitar and bass guitar.
The talented young woman also formed a band with some of her friends, which started by playing gigs at various events. Over the years, they gave it the shape of a recording studio band to focus on creativity, rather than being stressed out by live gigs. The band has a few albums to its credit, with their most popular single being ‘Ghost Town.’
The Other Side of Katrina Law
Beyond her professional life, she seems to be in quite a happy space with her personal life. She married fellow actor Keith Andreen in 2013, after having dated for three years. An exciting and adorable thing about their marriage is that she convinced Andreen to take in a couple of alley cats, which eventually led to her association with the Kitt Crusaders charity. She is also associated with Children’s Miracle Network, Variety Children’s Charity, and The International Rescue Committee.
Katrina Law has notable films such as ‘Emmett’s Mark,’ ‘Lucky Numbers,’ ‘4 Minutes: The North Hollywood Shoot-Out,’ ‘A New Tomorrow,’ ‘Alpha Males Experiment,’ ‘Stiletto,’ ‘3 Minutes,’ ‘Darkness Rising,’ ‘Checkmate,’ and ’12 Gifts of Christmas’ to her credit. What’s more? She has also appeared in shows such as ‘Third Watch,’ ‘The Rookie: CTU,’ ‘Legend of the Seeker,’ ‘The Resistance,’ DC’s ‘Legends of Tomorrow,’ ‘Chosen,’ ‘Home & Family,’ and ‘Sacred Lies.’
