Born on June 20, 2003, in Las Vegas, United States, Jirah Mayweather mostly grew up in Los Angeles, California. She was an active member of her school’s cheerleading team and graduated in 2021. Her name means “God is my provider.” Jirah Mayweather has carved out a niche for herself as a Youtuber and a Tiktok sensation.
She currently has about 5.65k subscribers on her Youtube channel and enjoys a significant fan following on TikTok. The youngest child of boxing legend Floyd Mayweather, Jirah was born from Mayweather’s relationship with former reality star Josie Harris.
Dating Life of Jirah Mayweather
According to rumor mills, Jirah Mayweather is seeing someone called Bryant Jackson, with who she went to high school and had also attended prom together. The two made an appearance together on a video she shared on her Youtube channel. Her career seems to be going strong on social media. However, only time will tell if she will continue to be on this path or steer her career differently.
The Tragedy and The Responses it Evoked
Following the demise of Jirah’s mother in 2020 due to an accidental drug overdose, her Tweet dropped strong hints about Mayweather prioritizing himself over his children. The Tweet read:
“going from a parent who put your happiness before theirs to a parent who puts their happiness before yours is probably one of the most frustrating things ever.”
On previous occasions, too, her social media posts have revealed her disturbed equation with her father. 2020 also saw her expressing that it was the worse year of her life. It seemed that she was severely critical of Mayweather’s bad parenting, even though Jirah Mayweather did not take his name directly.
The post attracted a gush of comments where netizens expressed their concern for the young girl, who has just lost her mother and was slamming her father for not caring enough. This was closely followed by Mayweather’s Instagram post, where he put up a picture of Jirah. The caption expressed that he will always love her unconditionally, and she should know that she can accomplish anything that she determines to.
He further added that there’s no limit to what she can achieve in life; she should prioritize God above everyone and everything else to make things work out by themselves. However, he soon took this post down.
Tracing the Root of the Dysfunctional Equation
Delving deeper into the strained relationship between this father-daughter duo, it is also noteworthy that Mayweather and Harris did not call it quits on the best of terms. In 2010, Harris had filed a domestic battery report against him, which got the boxer behind bars. Eventually, he was sentenced to serve 90 days in the country jail for battery from June to August 2012.
Then again, in 2015, Harris reportedly sued Mayweather for $20 million, accusing the boxer of defamation. Harris later claimed that Mayweather falsely accused her of drug abuse during an interview for the 2010 battery case.
A Closer Look at Mayweather’s Recent Life
2020 was indeed a pathetic year for the boxer in his mid-forties, as he was still mourning the death of Harris when he also lost his long-time trainer and uncle Roger Mayweather. Align with Josie, he also dedicated a string of posts to Roger on his Instagram handle.
Mayweather also has three other kids named Koraun, Iyanna, and Zion. Out of them, Koraun and Zion are Jirah’s siblings, while Iyanna is her half-sibling. Besides, Mayweather also has an adopted son called Devion Cromwell. It has been evident all along that he does not share a cordial relationship with Jirah Mayweather. But, the siblings share a great bond with each other.
The former boxing champion was last seen in action in June 2021. In this exhibition boxing match, he was pitted against YouTube star Logan Paul. Though the event, organized at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida, did not end with the declaration of an official winner, thanks to the absence of judges. The bout was scheduled for eight 3-minute rounds, and it was incredible to see Paul surviving eight rounds even though he was pitted against one of the best boxers in the world.
