Gilly Hicks is a brand that if you shop at Abercrombie and Fitch you have definitely seen. This company, is famous for selling comfortable, affordable underwear but has now expanded into other products. Even though Gilly Hicks is a smaller brand, it still has a good following and some very loyal customers. Also, if you love Aerie, this brand has a similar aesthetic and target market as well.
Finding the right brands these days is super stressful especially brands for underwear. Due to certain companies being too expensive such as Victoria’s Secret, women are struggling to find affordable products. If you want a new company to shop for, then keep reading we take a deep dive into the brand Gilly Hicks.
Gilly Hicks is Gender Inclusive
One awesome thing we love about Gilly Hicks is that they are gender-inclusive. At the moment making sure that your company is including all body types and gender preferences in creative decisions is important. Gilly Hicks this summer unveiled a new gender-inclusive collection with underwear, loungewear, and activewear. This collection also has clothes in patterns that are to match everyone’s styles, no matter their gender identity.
Also, within the stores, they are featuring an in-store experience where clothes and products aren’t divided by gender but by fabric and materials. The reason the brand is doing this is to not put pressure on anyone who feels they need to decide between shopping in men’s or women’s. At the moment only certain stores locations have this feature when you shop with them.
Gilly Hicks Was Closed For Some Time
The brand Gilly Hicks believe it or not actually made a comeback in 2017, after being closed in 2013. Abercrombie & Fitch announced they would close Gilly Hicks stores but continue the brand’s online operations. Also, there is a demand for younger-looking and for younger styles within the brand. During their relaunching in 2017, the company now focuses on designing clothes for Gen-Z styles and focusing on their needs.
Many brands have gone through this where they have to close down and revamp their stores. Luckily, for Gilly Hicks, they were able to come back strong and now have a good following.
The Brand Is Affordable
Another amazing thing about this company is that they are very affordable. We, women, know that our products are never cheap especially underwear and lingerie. Luckily, brands such as Gilly Hicks provide affordable products for our everyday needs and essentials. When shopping with this company pricing pretty much depends on the time of products so let’s break down their price range.
One of their famous products is their bras/ bralettes which are between $20-40, which is super cheap! Another merchandise is their underwear which you can get for as low as $8.95 depending on the type of underwear, and they sell all styles too. When it comes to other products such as loungewear and activewear you can expect these to be a little more expensive.
Activewear and underwear, range between $20-50 which is still great in pricing, and if there’s a sale even better!
A&F Cares
As a brand part of Abercrombie & Fitch, they are also a part of the charities the brand is engaged in. A&F cares is an initiative taken by the brand to help the lives of children and teens through different programs. The company works with different organizations such as Nationwide Children’s Hospital, Sit With Us, New Albany Community Foundation, and many more!
Also, in 2016, A&F and SeriousFun Children’s Network created a 5-year, $15 million partnership to help children. If you didn’t already know SeriousFun Children’s Network is a community of camps and programs for kids with serious illnesses and sicknesses. Another great thing about these camps is that they are free of charge and include events such as summer camp, sibling and family weekends, hospital outreach programs.
