Living in NYC we are always on the run and need comfortable clothes to get everything done. Sometimes we just need to put on a t-shirt and jeans and be on our way, for many of us this is a daily task. One brand that makes sure that their denim and clothes are comfortable for those on the run, is Mott & Bow. When it comes to this NYC-based brand they sell the best quality jeans at an affordable price, compared to other denim sellers.
Creator Alejandro Chahin grew up around denim as his family started a denim facility in Honduras. After studying the denim process from his family and living in New York he realized there was a gap in the industry, for affordable denim. There are so many brands that sell super expensive jeans at such crazy prices, so Chahin wanted to help consumers by selling affordable and good quality.
This is why we couldn’t hold our excitement when the company reached out to us to try their products. We tested out 4 of their best-selling merchandise and share our experience, is the company worth the money? Keep on reading to find out!
Mott & Bow Slim Boyfriend Hubert
One pair of pants from Mott & Bow that we tried is the above Slim Boyfriend Ridge. Boyfriend jeans are extremely popular right now, and people are switching from skinny jeans to baggier ones. When trying on the above slim boyfriend ridge, the material felt a little rough but turned out to be very comfortable. Once I put them on the jeans looked great and helped enhance my figure.
Due to the fact that I’m a bit on the petite side, I did have to fold them a little on the bottom but it was no issue. Overall, I really liked how these jeans looked even though I’m not usually into pants that are boyfriend style because I prefer something slimmer. My only complaint I would have to say is that they do look like they fit different on the model, and are much bigger in person.
Cashmere Raglan Crew
One of my favorite products sent from Mott & Bow is the above Cashmere crew sweater. One of the things I enjoyed about it was how soft the material was and how smooth it feels on the skin. Even though it’s a little thin it’s still warm enough for chillier days by itself or with a jacket underneath too! Also, I am a size medium and it was very much true to size, it wasn’t too big or too tight.
I definitely recommend buying this sweater for those who enjoy simple fall attire. Lastly, you can wear it up or down, I wore it to go apple picking with black and white striped pants. Another tip is wearing it was a gold statement or chain necklace to give it a little pop.
Fitted V-Neck Marcy
Aside from the cashmere sweater we also tried this fitted v-neck, which was very soft. As someone who doesn’t own a lot of plain tees, I was excited to get one as I was currently missing some and who doesn’t need plain white tees? One of the things I love about this v-neck is how soft the material is and how airy it is once put on, it’s perfect for warm days out.
One thing to look out for when wearing it is that it is on the thinner side so wear something underneath.
Slim Boyfriend Hubert
The final product we were lucky to try from Mott & Bow is the above slim boyfriend hubert. The brand’s Hubert jeans is a huge hit within their men’s department so they also launched them for women. You can find them available for women in slim boyfriend and mom jeans style too if you want to try them in different styles. When it comes to my experience with these jeans I felt that they looked very stylish.
Even though they are a slim boyfriend style they were a bit looser than expected but when I folded them on the bottom it helped. I love these for the fall weather and are amazing to wear with a cardigan on top or a pullover sweater too and some ankle boots. Lastly, they are very easy to walk around in and don’t feel like they are suffocating or too rough on the skin.
In general, our first experience trying Mott & Bow was a great experience and we totally recommend their denim and tops. The denim quality is very high and doesn’t feel or look cheaply made like other denim brands.
