With the pandemic and the entire world at a halt, it’s hard to connect with friends, at least in person. Everyone is afraid of COVID-19 and rightly so, but if you follow proper precautions like wearing a mask and bringing hand sanitizer, you can still have an amazing time with your girls, inside. Below you’ll find everything you need to host the perfect girls night in!
What’s A Party Without Drinks?
First and foremost bring the libations! It’s summertime and the perfect time for a frozen beverage. You can make a cute drink of the night like a frozen mango margarita and garnish it with fresh mango and sugar around the rim of the glass. This will definitely start the night off right, who doesn’t like a good drink?
Who Am I Kidding? What’s A Party Without Food?!
There’s gotta be good food in the place, otherwise, why do it? This girls night in will be a complete fail without food, and it’s gotta be good. If you’re not a great cook and neither are your friend’s order takeout but remember presentation is everything! Plate the food nicely and have everyone sit down and eat together and fellowship over dinner. Bring your drinks, it’ll be a whole mood, even if it’s just Chinese takeout.
Cute & Comfy PJ’s
Make the girls night in a pajama party so everyone that attends can look cute and comfy. This will also let everyone’s creativity shine because you can dress pj’s up and be fancy or keep them as is and be cozy. Some will keep it cute and some will make it sexy, whatever the case, it will be fun to take pictures with your girls with your drinks and create memories.

Games & Girls Is A No-Brainer
Think of some fun games to play with your girls. Never Have I Ever is a cool drinking game, Twister is another interactive game, Heads Up! is the 2020 version of charades, and it’s the summer so who’s up for a water balloon/water gun fight? But if you want to keep it cute and classy, you can always have a makeup session; but to make it fun or more of a “game” you have to be blindfolded as the person does your makeup.
Create A Safe Haven
This isn’t just a girls night in, make it a safe space to vent and let go of drama and stress. Think of a cool way for all of you to bond over letting go of life’s frustrations. My niece and her friends bought white plates from the dollar store and used permanent markers to write out everything they were letting go; you’ll be surprised at how many things that bother you, and things that you want to change about yourself. However, after they were done, they went to an abandoned area and threw the plates as a means to shatter the things that held them back. It can be relieving to literally let it go. You can do the same or get as creative as you wish; instead of plates you can use a glass bottle and put notes inside, the choice is yours.
Karaoke Is Essential
How can you really have a girl’s night in without karaoke? Dance breaks are essential! And the best part is you don’t even need a karaoke machine or karaoke bar to get the party started. There’s an app for that, or you can simply pull up Youtube, grab a brush or your phone and get it started. I personally have car karaoke every time I drive. But on girls night in this is your time to shine! And for that shy friend, do a duet with her and hit those high notes like a pro!
Now that you have everything you need to host a dope girls night in it’s time to rally everyone together and set a date. Don’t let COVID-19 stop your fun or your bond. Be sure to have your girls come over wearing their masks, check their temperature at the door, and give them hand sanitizer. After that, in the words of the great Michael Jackson, don’t stop til you get enough!
