Who is Gerald McRaney?
Gerald McRaney is a famous American actor born on August 19, 1947, in Collins, Mississippi. His parents are Clyde McRaney and Edna McRaney. He is of Choctaw and Scottish descent. He went to the University of Mississippi, and before his break into the film industry, he worked in the Louisiana oil fields to make ends meet.
Gerald made his on-screen debut with the film “Night of Bloody Horror” in the lead role of Wesley Stuart. He went on to have minor roles in the films; Keep Off My Grass, Women And Bloody Terror, and The Neverending Story.
In 2010, he featured in The A-Team’s action film with Bradley Cooper, Liam Neeson, Jessica Bel, and Quinton Jackson. He was also part of the cast of the romantic drama The Best of Me. McRaney has starred alongside Margot Robbie and Will Smith in the romantic, thriller, and crime movie Focus.

Rick is the pleasant, less-refined United States Marine war veteran who loves four-wheel-drive pickups and cowboy boots, while his brother is the polished, more refined college graduate with a love for classic cars and tailored suits.
The two brothers stay in San Diego with Rick living on a boat in his brothers’ waterfront property. His Brother A.J Simon is a practicing catholic, while Rick does not subscribe to any religion. A.J is a stickler for rules and likes to do everything by the book; while Rick is more of a free spirit, he works the cases how he deems fit. He has been married three times.
Well, if they are not the one you keep looking until you find your absolute person, right? McRaney first got married in 1966 to Beverly A. Root. They were only together for five years before their untimely divorce in 1971. They were blessed with two children, Jessica and Angus McRaney. His son Angus was born deaf.
He later married casting director Pat Moran, a union that ended in divorce in 1989. They had one child together. His third and current marriage is to Delta Burke. The two met at a luncheon and have co-starred together in the Television Series Designing Women.

He has been diagnosed with lung cancer.
In 2004, While on a hunting trip in New Zealand, Gerald hurt one of his knees and was taken to the doctor for treatment. The doctor asked for a Chest X-ray before surgery which showed that he was in the early stages of Lung cancer. It was a miracle that the doctors managed to catch it this early, and he managed to beat it by having his lungs removed.

He has an Emmy award and several nominations.
Gerald McRaney is a brilliant actor, and it shows in his many awards. In 2006, he received a nomination for the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance. He was nominated again for the same award in a different drama series in 2014. In 2018 he won an Emmy award for Oustanding Guest Actor in a Drama series.
He supports war veterans.
While he played a war veteran in his hit show, Simon and Simon, McRaney also supports war veterans in real life. He has made several visits to support soldiers in Operation Desert Storm. He also visits marines and sailors onboard ships. Additionally, in 1993 he visited troops in Somalia during Operation Restore Hope. He has also been chair of the Department Of Veterans Affairs and keeps fighting for the rights of war veterans to date.
