There are too many bars in New York to count. In the past several years Williamsburg has increasingly become a hotspot for bars. (Notably, this is due, in part, to the gentrification of Williamsburg, and Brooklyn as a whole, which has been happening over the past thirty years.) Williamsburg bars are great for dates, parties, or just hanging out with friends. Plus they come in all different shapes and sizes, with different themes and specialty cocktails. These are some of our favorite bars around, and why we love them.
Loosie Rouge
Loosie Rouge will have you feeling right at home, or at least like you are in the home of your much cooler hipster friend who is also a plant-mom. This laid-back Williamsburg bar embodies the Brooklyn aesthetic. The building is full of exposed brick, and all the plants you need in interior design. Not only do they have tons of great cocktails for you to enjoy, but they also have a full restaurant. So whether you are in the mood to get wasted, or just go out for dinner, Loosie Rouge is a great option. Plus they have live music every week for you to enjoy.
Lucky Dog
Most bars and restaurants don’t allow dogs inside, but Lucky Dog does. Bring your four-legged best friend to this bar to have a great night out together. Don’t have a dog? Come anyway and you can see everyone else’s, and maybe shake a few paws while you are there. There is great outdoor seating in the backyard where are can bring your dog to mingle while you drink.
Barcade
Williamsburg’s Barcade is a great place to go if you want to feel like a kid again. They are mainly known for their pinball machines, of which there are many. But they also have a ton of other games you can play. It has all the fun of going to an arcade when you were a kid, but now you can drink while you play. Barcade is a great hangout with friends, where you will make tons of memories.
Skinny Dennis
Named for a country western musician, this honky tonk bar is great for anyone who wants to feel like they are escaping from the city. You will feel like you are in a dive bar in the south. With their pinball and nightly live music, you will never be bored. It is a great taste of old country in the middle of the city.
Pokito
Pokito embodies intersectionality by representing so many things at once. This artist run bar creates latin and asian inspired drinks that change seasonally. You will love everything from the atmosphere to the drinks. It is a great place to go if you want to new drinking experience.
Maison Premiere
If you want to get fancy on your night out drinking, so to Maison Premiere. They are known for there oysters, which you can get for really cheap during happy hour. And they always have fresh seafood and high-quality service. Treat yourself to a nice night out at this upscale bar and restaurant.

There is tons of open space both outdoor and in, so you can get a great look at the city around you. Plus their unique yellow aesthetic and high-quality food and drinks will have you dying to go back.

There is always live music and events to enjoy there, plus a pinball machine and a black and white photo booth. And we can’t forget about the taco truck. There is something for everyone at Union Pool.
