Rena Marlette Lesnar popularly known as Sable the Wrestler is an actress, model, and retired professional wrestler. Sable was a sex symbol in old-school WWE. Back in old days, a woman being in the wrestling field was an impossible thing. But Sable the Wrestler marked her presence as a woman wrestler. The audience was obsessed and engrossed watching her wrestling. Now wonders, her hotness quotient hypnotizes people. Not only in WWE, but Sable the Wrestler also established her box office hits in the film industry.

Horseriding, gymnastics, and sports was Sable’s favorite activity in her youth. Her first wrestling debut was in March 1996 at  WrestleMania XI. She escorted Hunter Hearst Helmsley to the ring. Her first major angle was accompanying her real-life husband Marc Mero. Sable the Wrestler became Marc’s manager. When Marco suffered an injury he took some time off. Until then Sable the Wrestler was coming into the spotlight. She rose to fame. Seeing this Marco mistreated her and this let dispute between the couple.

According to Wikipedia, “Sable delivered a superkick to Goldust and executed a “Sable Bomb”, a release powerbomb, on Luna. She also delivered a TKO and pinned Luna to finish the match, with the crowd chanting Sable’s name in the background. At the following pay-per-view event, Unforgiven in April 1998, Sable lost to Luna in an Evening Gown match after being distracted by Marc Mero”.

Luna lost to Sable in a Strap match at the Royal Rumble. WWF newcomer Tori was Sable’s female fan who helped Sable win. Tori’s debut brought a change in Sable’s persona. Sable became the cover girl for the April 1999 issue of Playboy, one of the highest-selling magazines.

Wikipedia stated, ” She debuted a new catchphrase: “This is for all the women who want to be me and all the men who come to see me” and a dance move called “the grind”.

When a feud rose at a match at WrestleMania XV Sable defeated Tori. Also, during the ongoing contest, Nicole Bass debuted as Sable’s bodyguard. She helped her win the match. Sable also feuded with Luna Vachon, who betrayed her. Sable was also a 2-time winner of the Slammy Award. She continued to win many championships until Debra on May 10, 1999. WWF Commissioner Shawn Michaels stated that the woman who had lost her dress was the winner. 

This made Debra the new Women’s Champion. Off-screen, Sable had a dispute with the WWF. This is the reason she was stripped of the title on-screen. Sable’s popularity continued to decline backstage. So Sean Waltman once admitted to playing a nasty practical joke on her last day with the WWF.

Her Personal Life

In 1987, she married Wayne W. Richardson. They had a daughter named Mariah. Unfortunately, Richardson passed away in a drunk driving accident in 1991. She met her second husband Marc Mero, in 1993. He is a famous professional wrestler and former boxer. The couple divorced in 2004 and she started dating professional wrestler Brock Lesnar. They were engaged a year later. But their engagement was called off in early 2005, but they got engaged again in January 2006. They married on May 6, 2006. The couple has two sons named Turk and Duke.

What Is Sable the Wrestler Doing Now?

Sable has been away from the limelight ever since she had children. She is living a private life with an absence from social media. She has embraced farm life and living happily with her husband and children. Sometimes her public appearance is seen on social media with her husband Brock. 

According to Sportskeeda, Brock said that

“Everywhere I looked, all I could see was uncertainty. But there was one thing I was sure of: I wanted to marry Rena. However before I could do this, I needed her to get out of WWE”. “If we want a relationship,” I told her, “neither one of us can work for that company. We both know the long-term side effects of everything there.”
