On his website, Nicholas Sparks, the author of the book that the movie was based off of, admits to basing the two main characters of Allie and Noah on his ex-wife’s parents romantic relationship. At the time, however, he was still married to Cathy Spark. Either way, this love story needed to be written down and we are thankful it made it to the big screen too.

Bonnie and Clyde is one of the ultimate classic movies about love. Although it’s categorized as a biographical crime film, audiences can’t help but marvel at the confusing yet exciting romantic relationshop between the two leads. Walk the Line is a movie about love based on the true story of Johnny Cash and June Carter, who he considered the love of his life. The Theory of Everything
The Theory of Everything is the true story of the legend Stephen Hawking. Although, it centers around a well-known psychist, this movie is ultimately about love. It tells the story of Stephen and his wife Jane from the time they meet in college. When Stephen finds out he has motor neuron disease and is slowly deteriorating, Jane shows her love and support by staying by his side and helping him through hard times. This is the ultimate #RelationshipGoals movie.
A Beautiful Mind
A Beautiful Mind is a romantic drama based off the book of the same title by Sylvia Nasar. It tells the real-life tale of John Forbes Nash Jr. a famous mathematician who made his claim to fame quite early in his career. Throughout the movies John begins a journey of self-discovery as he battles with schizophrenia. By his side is his wife, who made it possible for John to keep living at home during the peaks of his mental illness.
Eat, Pray, Love
Eat Pray Love based off the memoir by Elizabeth Gilbert follows the story of Liz as she travels from Italy to India to Indonesia on a journey of self-discovery. This whole book and movie are really a tribute to self-love and finding happiness alone. However, there is a romance at the end of Liz’s journey that will have you feeling hot and steamy.
Becoming Jane
There is no better expert on classic love stories than Jane Austen, which is why we were ecstatic when filmmakers decided to put her personal love story onto the big screen in Becoming Jane. Although, Jane’s personal love story will definitely make you weep, it’s one that we must hear to understand her writing. Also, the film is done incredibly well. You’ll definitely want to watch it again!
