Being the shortest kid in the class, with a charming smile and perfect hair did allow Aisha to take the center stage in any school plays, even though she was an average dancer sometimes. But, the consequences have been heartbreaking, especially when there are too many bullies in school!
On Monday afternoon, little Aisha was bullied badly after the gym class for being chosen as Cinderella again.
How to Deal With Bullies?
Aisha tried hard to process her emotions on the way back home. She tried reasoning with herself, ‘Having a privilege isn’t a crime. They are bullies because they are insecure. I just use it to my advantage. I can practice performing better than this time. That’s the least I can do to get over this victim feeling.’
But, as soon as she reached home, she soon forgot all about it. She sunk into daddy’s old cozy back chair, and started watching Barbie and The Three Musketeers! Her friends have been fooled enough to believe that Cinderella was her dream role. Aisha was always more brave and mature than the silly little girl!
Aisha’s Lifechanging Afternoon Nap
After having snacks, Aisha felt her eyelids were turning heavy. She decided to take a quick nap before her homework before her mommy was back from work!
As soon as Aisha fell asleep, she saw her grandma sewing a brand new hairband and glittery bows for her.
‘Oh, granny! I’ve missed you really bad!’ said Aisha hugging her tightly from the back.
‘Oh, dear! Is it because of those mean girls?’ shot her grandma.
Aisha’s eyes widened up.
‘So! You already know!’ she sobbed.
‘Yes! Of Course Aisha my dear! That’s why I am here!’
‘But, how can you protect me from mean people who hurt me all the time? I guess it’s just my fate!’ she cried until she run out of her breath.
Grandma patted her on the back and said ‘Silly girl! You call yourself brave outside and cry like this to me for some bullies?’
‘Don’t you want to be like one of those Powerpuff Girls? Are you Bubbles or Buttercup Tell me!’
Aisha slowly uttered ‘Blossom!’
‘What? I can barely hear you!’ Asked grandma, holding up her fingers in comical gestures.
‘Blossom!’ Marched Aisha in rage and wiped off her tears!
The Mystic Butterfly Necklace
‘All right! Before you get too busy in your daily world,’ said grandma.
Aisha looked at her grandma in awe and inspiration!
‘Here! Wear this necklace, if you ever feel that you are unable to protect yourself. Remember, you are powerful
enough to protect yourself and your loved ones if you have the will for it!Remember how you fought with your daddy to save those puppies last winter?
However, if you ever need me, I will immediately come to protect you. But, it will hurt me a lot to travel all the way immediately to you. So, use it wisely, use it only when you need it!’
Aisha woke up from her afternoon nap and kissed the mystic butterfly necklace before she sat down for her homework. She felt safe and comfortable in the real world.
