When it comes to being productive, there are certain foods that can help boost your brain power. In fact, when you want to stay focused and energized, eating specific foods will help you get there. Here are some of the key foods that you can begin incorporating into your diet to boost your brain power and be the most productive version of yourself.

Fatty Fish

Typically, when people talk about boosting their brain, fish is often top of the list. In fact, fish like salmon and other fatty fishes can really help you be the best version of yourself. Other fish that contain some good fats include sardines and trout which all contain excellent sources of omega-3 fatty acids- which help boost your brain. Your brain usually uses omega-3’s to build brain and nerve cells.

Studies have shown that not getting enough omega-3’s in your diet can lead to learning issues and depression as well.

A Cup Of Joe

Interestingly enough, your morning brew is actually beneficial for your brain. In fact, coffee can serve as a wonderful brain booster. The caffeine in coffee has a myriad of positive attributes that help your brain thrive. From increased alertness to mood boosting perks, coffee is a great way to help your brain thrive when you need it most.

Blueberries

The antioxidants in blueberries do wonders for your brain. In fact, the antioxidants in blueberries act against both the oxidative stress and inflammation, which are both conditions that can contribute to an aging brain. As a result, upping the amount of blueberries you eat daily can have a significant impact on your brain and cognitive function in the long run.

Turmeric

Oftentimes, it’s a simple shift like adding some turmeric into your meals to have a significant brain boost. In fact, with the recent buzzaround turmeric lately, there are now even more fun ways you can start incorporating this spice into your everyday meals. Ordering a turmeric latte is one simple shift or even just sprinkling some turmeric into your roasted veggie plate can do wonders for your brain.

Broccoli

Packed with nutrients and vitamins, broccoli is a great brain food. In fact, with a high level of vitamin-K, broccoli is known for its brain boosting effects. But, beyond just vitamin-K, broccoli also has a bunch of compounds that allow it to serve as an anti-inflammatory and antioxidant rich food.

Pumpkin Seeds

Pumpkin seeds are another antioxidant powerhouse. In fact, pumpkin seeds are known for protecting body and mind. From zinc to magnesium to copper to iron, pumpkin seeds are a great food that can provide incredible benefits for your brain.

Dark Chocolate

You can have dessert and boost your brain all at the same time. In fact, dark chocolate and cocoa powder are packed with antioxidants. As a result, they include these things called flavonoids which are basically just a group of antioxidant compounds. And according to research, chocolate is a mood booster.

All The Nuts

Nuts are great for you. I personally love nuts. Almonds are my favorite, but they all have amazing benefits. In fact, research has shown that eating nuts is a great way to boost your heart health.

And with heart health, there is surely some benefit to your brain as well. While all nuts are generally good for you, walnuts take the cake when it comes to brain boosting perks.

At the end of the day, adding some of these brain-boosting foods is a surefire way to feel better and give your brain an extra boost to get you through the day. Incorporating some of these foods into your daily routine can result in you feeling better and being more alert. That sounds like a win-win to me.
