A Feces Filled Pop-Up Shop is Coming to NYC

The New York City has a great love for pop-up shops – earlier this year, there was a pop-up shop honoring We TV’s revivial of Bridezillas’ first season. It was an interesting place that intrigued and freaked out boyfriends and partners more than the norm since they haven’t heard of the illustrious show during its initial run. Go figure. Anyway, you will never guess what is happening – a brand new public toilet is opening and you are absolutely encouraged to relieve yourself.

This public toilet will be part of a new poop-themed pop-up shop opening on the Lower East Side described as an "immersive" experience. You read that right, poop-themed. I mean, we all know that the poop emoji has become a symbol synonymous with pop culture in this day and age, but have we as a society stopped to consider that the physical representation of this cute brown swirl is actually the excrement that comes out of every living mammals’ body? Please, busy your mind with that image for a moment. Maybe you can even smell the aroma. Well, soon you can.

1 more week! Can you hold it? #poopup @poopourri

This pop-up shop is the brainchild of two luxury bathroom brands, if such an oxymoron exists, called Tushy and Poo-Pourri. Tushy was founded by Miki Agrawal and claims its fame on producing small, user-friendly bidets that are compatible with just about any toilet. Yes, finally, you can bring all the class of Europe’s restrooms right into your home! Poo-Pourri is a step up from your average Febreeze and masks your natural bathroom scents with an infinitely better, all natural scent for your nose. They carry 14 different scents, ranging from "Woo Of Poo Scent," which includes ginger, neroli, and magic, to "Royal Flush" that has eucalyptus and spearmint, so you never have to fear about your roommate using the bathroom right after you ever again.

As any good pop-up shop provides, there wil be a variety of surprises along with ample photo opportunities. At the pop-up, a scent bar will be featured, a chance to swim among tiny poop emojis in a toilet-shaped ball pit, a disco-themed port-a-potty photo booth and let’s not forget the most important part – being able to try all of the merchandise. Yes, there will be a toilet where all of the promoted products from both Tushy and Poo-Purri will be available for your bathroom tryst. Talk about the ultimate bathroom break.

The pop-up shop will only be open from May 30th to June 3rd and will open at 11 a.m.everyday. With that being said, make sure you hold your morning toilette until you can get down to 208 Bowery. Who knows? I might just walk out of there with a brand new lease on life and a brand new bidet. Crazier things have happened.
