As women and makeup lovers, we are always on the lookout for new makeup and beauty ideas. At the moment there is also a lot of brands to shop in and so many youtube tutorials of new makeup ideas out there. No matter what, you can always find something to try out especially if you need makeup for nights out. One makeup idea that is taking over is wearing Indigo eyeshadow, which is a deep blue color.

Anytime you wear deep blue colors such as Indigo you’ll find it’s not the easiest to put on and you might make a mess. With deep colors like this, it takes a lot of practice and you might need to learn some tips to wear it. Let’s take a look at different ways to wear Indigo color eyeshadow so you can look stunning in it.

Picking The Right Lip Color

indigo color eyeshadow tips

One tip when wearing this fun eyeshadow color is to make sure you are styling it with the right lip color. No matter what makeup you have on, picking the wrong lipstick can ruin the whole look and might make you look a mess. If you are trying to wear dark color eyeshadow it’s always best to wear nude-toned lipstick to even it out. Indigo is a hard color to match because it already stands out on its own, so make sure to wear a light color lip.

Examples of lip colors that can go with Indigo eyeshadow are by wearing a light pink shade or a nude lip. Also, you can wear a mauve or light brown lipstick shade as well.

Blending & Applying Indigo Color Eyeshadow

Another tip when wearing this color is that you really have to build the color! When we say building the color, it means you need to put layers first before you dump the color on your lid, this avoids messiness. This is a great tip, especially when wearing dark colors because they help it look natural and it’s so much easier to blend as well.

If you need help building here is how we recommend doing it; start with a bade color such as nude or cream eyeshadow, then on top of that on the corners add a light blue shade and really blend it with the base color. Following this, you can then add the indigo color either on the whole lid or just the corners, using a big blending brush, brush all three colors together. Also, on top of the indigo shade, you can add the base color again to help soften it and blend it better.

Add Some Sparkle To It

When it comes to this color eyeshadow it pops out naturally on its own, but you can always help it pop out more. Whether you are going to a party, a birthday, the bar anywhere you might be wanting to make your eyes really stand out. One way to do this is by wearing some sparkly eyeshadow on top of it as well, which is a lot of fun to do. Make sure to lightly tap on top using your finger a silver or an indigo blue shade of sparkle to help the eyeshadow shimmer.

Also, you can put the shimmer shade on the inner corners of your eyes or on your brow bone to make your eyes brighter.

Use An Indigo Color Eyeliner On Your Lashline

The final trick when wearing this color is to add a deep shade of blue on the waterline of your lower eyelid. If you noticed, a lot of people who wear makeup have also been putting eyeshadow or colorful eyeliner on their waterline. The reason people do this is that it not only helps the color stand out but also helps give your eye and eye color some definition.

If you are planning to try this with your indigo eyeshadow, you can use a deep blue shade eyeliner or an indigo eyeliner. Also, you can just take a fine tip brush and use a blue eyeshadow on your lower lash line too and blend it really well!

Overall, when wearing Indigo eyeshadow all you have to do is practice and eventually, you will get the hang of it. You can also watch some youtube tutorials to help you out.
