The days of colouring inside the lines were once every woman’s only stress induced task. I, myself, had a Hello Kitty pencil case the size of my head, separate from my bland stationary, that was filled with every colour pen and pencil I ever needed. Not to mention, that I even coloured over my fingernails.

I was reminded of these wistful memories this week when Crayola launched its nostalgic makeup line. Crayola will be selling their new makeup line, consisting of 58 products, exclusively at ASOS. Not only is the brand selling identical shaped products to their colouring pencils, multiple items will be packaged in the same yellow and green Crayola box. They’re 100% vegan too!
The line offers lipstick, highlighter, mascara, eyeshadow, cheek smudge and pens listed as face crayons, an idea that may have caught the attention of the brand when beauty v-loggers “School Supply Challenges” were going viral. Youtuber’s were seen utilizing Crayola crayons in lieu of makeup, which as Crayola states on their website- isn’t safe or recommended.
Prices are considerate to their target generation, ranging from $14 to $40, with the most expensive item being the makeup bag while most lip, cheek and facial products are the cheapest. The brand hopes to reject the stereotype that only identifiying women can acceptably wear makeup, featuring male and female models to showcase the colourful collection.

And, of course, Crayola made sure to deliver well in terms of an array of colour choices, naming them after original colouring products. The brand has just under 100 options of shade, promising their high ultra-creamy, highly pigmented quality.
