As one of the city’s prime shopping destinations, with retailers ranging from giant corporate chains like H&M or Forever 21 to the most coveted luxury brands (think Chanel and Saint Laurent), an NYGal could spend all day on the streets of SoHo.

While we’re all familiar with the aforementioned big names, there are also plenty of lesser-known boutiques that are guaranteed to keep your closet on point year-round.

Founded in 2015 by Maria Gangemi, this high-end Italian footwear boutique thoroughly takes their time on every gorgeous item you’ll find in the store. Each piece is skillfully handcrafted by a small group of artisans in Italy.

The label will also drop new, limited edition designs for both men and women every Monday at 10 a.m. to add to their line of quality shoes. A pair will run you between $180 to $350 but should last you for many years to come.

Opening Ceremony

The first location opened by UC Berkely friends Carol Lim and Humberto Leon, the Opening Ceremony flagship store located right on the border of SoHo and Chinatown offers four floors of womenswear by top designers, as well as a second shop right next door for menswear of the same caliber.

From designers you know including Kenzo, Acne Studios and even Converse to up-and-comers handpicked by the owners themselves, you’re guaranteed to find a wardrobe stable at Opening Ceremony.

The RealReal

You may be familiar with the popular luxury consignment website where you can purchase (or sell) gently used designer items with the reassurance of 100% authenticity but did you know you can shop your favorite finds in person at their SoHo location?

Filled with racks of Chanel coats, pristine Gucci purses, and rare off-the-runway finds for significantly less than you’d pay brand new, The RealReal boasts luxury with a more approachable price tag.

Ksubi

One of, if not THE most popular Australian fashion labels in the world, Ksubi has gained a cult following amongst celebrities and Instagram influencers alike.

To keep up with the demand for their edgy and high-quality denim, the brand opened a number of flagship stores, including one on Greene Street last year. Perfect for those of us who almost always have to try on jeans before buying!

Olive & Bette’s

A New York staple for over twenty years, Olive & Bette’s has provided trend-setters with a variety of contemporary finds as diverse as the Big Apple itself.

With their brightly colored interior and a curated selection of designers including IRO Paris and Missoni, the boutique offers something for every style and budget.

Il Makiage

Unapologetically bold and high-maintenance, Il Makiage just recently opened doors to its brand new SoHo location.

The cosmetics line combines years of research with top makeup artists and quality formulas to eventually develop highly pigmented lipsticks, eyeshadow palettes, foundation and mascara with the confident, glam woman in mind.
