‘Tis the season for weddings as Spring is finally here. On April 24, our NYGAL Sarah Jessica Parker went off the charts again as Gilt announced the launch of the first and latest SJP by Sarah Jessica Parker Bridal Collection. As part of the bridal collection’s grand debut, Gilt also offered 15 exclusive styles from the SJP by Sarah Jessica Parker footwear collection, which were made to be worn with the dresses from the bridal collection.
“Collaborating with Gilt on my first bridal ready-to-wear collection was an opportunity I couldn’t pass up,” said Parker. “The team there is brilliant and allowed me to be imaginative and take risks as I was designing for the non-traditional bride.”
Parker also said, “It has been quite fun to play around with colors, fabrics and details to create unique pieces for all kinds of brides.”
Inspired by Parker’s view of the modern yet non-traditional bride, the bridal collection is made up of ten styles which are designed to dress a woman for various milestones in her matrimony, all the way from bridal showers to the actual reception. Currently, the styles offered are a mix of classic dresses and gowns, modern bodysuits, full skirts, and a jumpsuit. Color palettes included for the pieces are traditional bridal white, sleek black, blush, poppy, light gray, and blue.
With Parker collaborating with Gilt, the collection was produced in Manhattan where fabrics such as cashmere and stretch crepe from Spain, France, and Italy were utilized. Every dress is uniquely crafted with delicate bows, intimate cutouts, whimsical feathers, intricate embroidery and even hand-stitched beading.

Ott believes customers will be delighted with the offering which is stylish and well-priced in the bridal category.
As for the shoes Gilt offered from the SJP by Sarah Jessica Parker footwear collection, the Cosette and Fawn styles were available in unique colors and heel heights which range from sizes 35 to 40 and are priced between $350 and $485.
Gilt also emphasized on offers from a couple of Parker’s favorite places in the Big Apple. Each offer was chosen as a way to assist brides with prepping and celebrating their big day to remember. Places featured were Leather Spa, Lars Nord Studio Tailoring, Mah-Ze-Dahr Bakery, along with others.
The prices for the SJP by Sarah Jessica Parker Bridal Collection range from $295 for the sleeveless bodysuit to $2,395 for the embroidered gown with size ranges from extra small to large for the bodysuits, and size 0 to 14 for all other items.
