Having an Idle Retreat for kicking off the new year is something that can bring a sense of relief and joy. The best part is that it can also be a great way to spend time with friends and family. There are plenty of Idle Retreats to choose from and many of them offer different activities. Some offer meditation or yoga sessions while others focus on fitness and strength training. There are also many that offer collective retreats, where all participants have the opportunity to learn from different teachers.
Collective Retreats
Designed to celebrate the natural world, Collective Retreats offers luxury outdoor retreats in unexpected places. Its glamping accommodations allow guests to celebrate in nature and connect with local communities. Its five-star experience offers an immersive luxury experience that breaks away from the traditional luxury hotel mold.
Currently, Collective Retreats has five locations across the United States. They include the flagship location on Governors Island in New York City, as well as properties in Texas, Montana, and Colorado. Its goal is to open 25 more locations in the next four years.
Collective Retreats recently raised $23 million in its Series C funding round led by Fireside Investments. Its capital will be used to expand its brand and build out its retreats in new areas. Outdoorsy, which is a popular RV rental marketplace, has also invested in Collective Retreats.
The two companies will work together to launch a hybrid campground offering that is designed to cater to adventurous guests. The experiences will combine the luxury of Collective Retreats’ accommodations with the amenities of Outdoorsy’s platform. The partnership will launch in June and will include two new locations: Governors Island and Collective Hill Country.
Collective Retreats has recently launched a luxury glamping retreat on Governors Island. The retreat offers 14 high-end tents with en-suite bathrooms. The tents are fully furnished and include electricity and Wi-Fi. It also has 22 smaller tents with shared restrooms.
Collective Governors Island is a short ferry ride from the city. The retreat includes overnight accommodations, good food, and scenic views. Guests will also have access to public spaces, including a mini golf course and farm to table tasting menus at open-air restaurants.
