How to Get Rid of Blackheads on Cheeks

how to get rid of blackheads on cheeks

There are several factors that can cause blackheads on cheeks, including excessive oil production, hormonal imbalances, and clogged pores. However, there are also a few ways to prevent them and keep them from appearing again. First of all, keep your skin moisturized at all times. Dry skin tends to produce more oil, which can increase the number of blackheads.

Excessive oil production

Blackheads are caused by excess production of sebum, the skin’s natural oil. The dead skin cells are then trapped in a clogged follicle, known as an open comedo. They are then oxidized and turn black. The condition can be remedied by reducing the amount of sebum produced on the face.

Hormonal imbalances

Blackheads on cheeks are a common symptom of hormonal imbalances. These blemishes are caused by overproduction of sebum, which causes the skin to become oily and clogged. This excess oil also acts as a breeding ground for bacteria. Hormonal breakouts typically occur on the lower half of the cheeks, which has the highest density of sebaceous glands.

Stress

There are several different ways to get rid of blackheads on your cheeks. Some methods are natural, while others involve chemical methods. Regardless of the method you use, you should make sure that you follow the proper safety guidelines.

Clogged pores

Clogged pores are a common skin problem that can lead to acne. The reason behind this is that dead skin cells get trapped in the pores. The clogged pores may be in any area of the body, including the cheeks, neck, back, shoulders, chest, and scalp.

Moisturising

A gentle cleanser can help prevent blackheads by not over-stripping the skin of moisture, which can trigger the overproduction of sebum. Instead, Burke recommends using a cleansers with salicylic or glycolic acids, which kill bacteria. She also recommends using a cleanser containing glycerin and sorbitol, which can help soften the skin.

Salicylic acid

Salicylic acid is an effective treatment for blackheads. The acid works by destroying dead skin cells and oil in the pores, leaving skin clear and smooth. It can be found in a variety of forms, including liquid toners, wipe-on pads, and targeted spot treatments.

Benzoyl peroxide

Benzoyl peroxide is an acne medication that kills the bacteria that cause acne. It also helps break up blackheads. It works well when combined with salicylic acid, another acne medication. This type of acne treatment is available over the counter and does not require a prescription. However, it can cause irritation. To avoid this, it is best to start with a low concentration and to use an acne-friendly moisturizer.

Clay mask

Using a clay mask to get rid of blackheads on your cheeks is a simple way to improve the overall health of your skin. It works by exfoliating the skin and helping the skin absorb essential nutrients. To get the best results, use a clay mask once or twice a week. You can purchase a clay mask online or from any beauty supply store.

Comedone extractor tool

There are various tools available for removing blackheads from your face, including comedone extractor tools. This tool has a pointed tip that is designed to poke a small hole in the blackhead or whitehead, which dislodges the sebum and dead skin inside. However, you should exercise caution while using this tool as you might damage your skin.
