Winter in NYC is beautiful.
The city really immerses itself into the holidays — there are lights, decorations and events around every corner.
This bustling city becomes welcoming, cozy and quaint during these winter months.
But, it also gets cold.
Freezing. Like, fingers and toes falling off cold.
And, after the holidays pass, being that cold really stops being fun.
But, you don’t have to be miserable and freezing all winter long. You’ve got options.
Winter lasts all the way through March in NYC, which gives you plenty of time to scrape some money together and plan a trip — preferably somewhere warm.
Even a quick weekend getaway to somewhere where you don’t need to wear a heavy-duty jacket is enough to make you forget about all of your worries.
But, traveling gets expensive. And, with the holidays in full swing, you might not have much of a budget to work with.
That’s why we’ve done some digging. You shouldn’t have to break the bank to feel the warmth of the sun on your cheeks.
If you’re looking for an affordable trip to escape the cold this winter, check out these cheap destinations.

OF course, the whole reason to go to Orlando is to do the parks — whether you’re more Disney or more Universal, that’s up to you.
But, if you stay off-site, take advantage of the bus system, and choose your park passes wisely, you can easily make this a cheap, but fun and exciting trip that you’ll remember for years to come.
