Jerry Seinfeld
See? Didn’t I say that you would recognize this comedian from Brooklyn? We all grew up with and love the show, Seinfeld! And, if you couldn’t tell, he’s a native New Yorker!
Jerry Seinfeld earned his degree from Queens College and started his career performing at improv clubs across Manhattan. It’s where his iconic sitcom takes place, paying homage to his home!
In fact, after his sitcom ended in 1998, Seinfeld decided to move back to New York full-time to focus on his comedy. He even produces his own Netflix show Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee which features different New York coffee shop locations. It’s clear that Jerry Seinfeld is a true Brooklyn comedian!
The Three Stooges
That’s right! Everyone’s favorite classic comedy trio, The Three Stooges were born and raised in Brooklyn, New York! Although this was quite some time ago, their comedy still holds well today and is still just as popular.
The Three Stooges made their name in Vaudville comedy and were active from 1920 to 1970. The group consisted of Larry, Moe, and Curly, and are a vital part of what comedy is today! They have made their legacy in the comedic world, earning themselves several franchises under their name.

Yup – comedy king of the big screen, Adam Sandler, is another comedian from Brooklyn, New York! Born in 1966 in Brooklyn, Sandler moved at the age of six and grew up in New Hampshire. He then returned back to New York and in 1988, Sandler graduated from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts.
I’m almost positive you’ve seen at least one of Sandler’s movies in your lifetime. I mean, who could forget the comedic rage that was Happy Gilmore? It’s no secret that Sandler has made a household name for himself. In fact, his most recent role in Uncut Gems has earned him a new wave of positive feedback from critics and the general public.
Joan Rivers
If there’s anyone who knew anything about having a long life-span of a comedic career, it’s Joan Rivers. Born and spending her early years in Crown Heights and Prospect Park, Rivers would soon have a 55-year comedic career ahead of her. This, without a doubt, makes her one of the more successful comedians from Brooklyn.
Rivers first became a hit when she landed a gig on The Tonight Show starring Johnny Carson, which then landed her own talk show on daytime television, The Joan Rivers Show. Larry David
It’s no surprise that the man who created Seinfeld is also a comedian from Brooklyn! Larry David was born and raised in Sheepshead Bay and is the creator and comedian behind the successful TV shows Seinfeld, and, of course, Curb Your Enthusiasm.
Larry David also got his start partially from working on SNL. He worked as a writer from 1984 to 1985. It was during this stage of his career that he met his Seinfeld cast members and, in 1989, he an Jerry Seinfeld got together to write what would be one of the most iconic shows of both of their careers.
Jimmy Fallon
Last on our list certainly doest not mean least! Especially when it comes to Jimmy Fallon, who is by far, one of the most famous comedians from Brooklyn. Born in Bay Ridge, Fallon has made a household name for himself and you probably watch him on your TV every once in a while!
Fallon got started when he was picked up as a cast member for SNL before persuing a movie career shortly after. It wasn’t long after that did Fallon earn the spot on Late Night in 2009 before progressing to The Tonight Show in 2014!
