The Virgil Abloh exhibition is part nightclub, part shoe emporium, and part gallery. In the heart of the exhibit is a mossy treehouse that channels the designer’s atelier in Paris. The Virgil Abloh and Nike “Air Force 1” exhibition will run from May 20 to May 31 at the Greenpoint Terminal Warehouse in Brooklyn. The display will include 47 pairs of Nike Air Force 1 sneakers, each a unique design. It will also feature an interactive space that showcases the thought process behind each shoe.
The exhibition is open to the public. Attendees can view a replica of the designer’s mood board, as well as a short film about Abloh. There are also videos of Abloh’s designs and notes from his text messages.
