A new study conducted by Connecticut Entertainer has revealed the most popular summer holiday destinations in the US for 2023. The study analyzed Google Search data and bookings data from September 2022-March 2023 with people looking for/booking Summer holidays in 2023.
Here are the top 15 summer holiday destinations in the US according to the study:
- Orlando, Florida
Perhaps unsurprisingly, Orlando tops the list due to its plethora of world-famous theme parks, miles of white-sand beaches, and family-friendly attractions. Whether you are in the mood for a Disney World adventure or seeking some sun and relaxation on the Gulf Coast, Orlando has something for everyone.
- Las Vegas, Nevada
Often referred to as “America’s Playground”, it comes as no surprise that Las Vegas tops the list of most popular US summer holiday destinations. With its vibrant nightlife, world-class dining, casinos, and entertainment options, it’s no wonder so many travelers flock to Sin City each year.

For example, many of the top destinations offer a wide range of activities and attractions for families, such as amusement parks, beaches, and outdoor recreation areas – Orlando, Florida is the most popular summer holiday destination, with over 200,000 bookings made during the study period. Additionally, some of the destinations, such as Las Vegas and Miami, are known for their vibrant nightlife and entertainment options.
“Our study shows that Americans are eager to travel and explore new destinations this summer,” said Mike Wilson, spokesperson for Connecticut Entertainer. “We’re seeing a lot of interest in destinations that offer a variety of activities and attractions, as well as those that provide a sense of relaxation and escape.”
