Whether you’re looking for a new credit card or a car loan, Michigan First Credit Union is the place for you. They offer a range of services, including online and mobile banking, car/truck/SUV loans, and learning opportunities for students.
Online banking
Using Online Banking for Michigan First Credit Union is an important way to protect your accounts from misuse. It allows you to check account balances, set up payee lists, and make transfers. You may also receive electronic statements for your Michigan First accounts.
Michigan First Credit Union offers an ETS (Electronic Transfer Service) for members in good standing. This service allows you to make outbound transfers from your Michigan First account to External Accounts. However, the ETS is only available for eligible accounts and requires a valid Social Security number.
ETS is not available for custodial accounts, guardianship accounts, or irrevocable trust accounts. Those accounts must be located in the United States. The ETS uses the ACH Network.
The ETS is only available for members who are in good standing. They must also have a valid Social Security Number and be located in the United States.
The ETS allows you to make one-time transfers, and recurring transfers at regular intervals. Those transfers will be processed the next business day. However, you will need to specify a date for the transfer. You can schedule recurring transfers every other week on a specified weekday.
Mobile banking
Using the Mobile Banking App from Michigan First Credit Union can help you manage your finances. The app allows you to view your account balances, pay bills, and even budget your expenses. The app also offers you the option to make transfers between your accounts. You can set your preferences for alerts, card controls, and more.
The Mobile Banking App can also control the functions of your debit and credit card. You can define the type of card you want to use, and where you can use it. You can also set up card controls to limit when the card can be used, how much money it can carry, and more.
Michigan First Mobile allows you to make online payments and set up payee lists. You can also make one-time transfers, and recurring transfers. If you wish to make a recurring transfer, you can choose a future date for the transfer to be processed. For example, you can schedule a $500 transfer every other week on a specified weekday.
Car/truck/SUV loans
Whether you’re looking to finance a new or used vehicle, the Michigan First Credit Union has got you covered. This is a credit union that’s been around since 1926 and serves 187,000 members as of September 2022. It’s a full-service credit union with branches throughout the greater Detroit area. If you’re in the market for a loan, you’ll be pleased to know that they offer competitive rates.
While the credit union does offer savings and loans, you might not be aware of its car/truck/SUV lending program. You’ll find that the lender offers a range of savings options such as Regular Share Savings, Money Market Accounts, Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs), and home equity loans.
As with many other credit unions, they offer competitive rates, but the rate isn’t the only factor to consider when choosing a lender. The rates you’ll be offered will depend on your creditworthiness, as well as the vehicle you’re financing. While the rates are a bit higher for older vehicles, you’ll be pleased to learn that the rates are still quite reasonable.
Learning opportunities for students
MFCU has recently started a new program that offers learning opportunities for students. This program is called Young & Free Michigan. The program is aimed at students who are between 17 and 25 years old in Michigan. The program is a part of the broader Young & Free Initiative and is designed to give young people in North America financial freedom. The program helps students learn more about finance and provides fun educational resources. It also helps youth make career decisions and prepare for the workforce.
Students who participate in the program are able to open real accounts at Honor Credit Union. Students are also encouraged to make weekly deposits at the MFCU branch locations. The branches accept deposits during hours that are designated for the program. In addition, students have the option to participate in the Michigan 4-H Youth Development program, which helps prepare young people for successful futures.
