Determining a single “Most Captivating Champion” in ballroom dancing is tricky because captivating can be subjective and the sport has a rich history. However, some dancers consistently rise to the top for their mesmerizing performances and competition dominance. There isn’t one single governing body for Ballroom DanceSport competitions in the world. However, several National Dance Organizations in the USA hold prestigious Ballroom DanceSport competitions that are recognized internationally. USA Dance National DanceSport Championships: This competition is held annually by USA Dance, the National Governing Body for DanceSport in the United States, recognized by the World DanceSport Federation (WDSF). WDSF is the international governing body for DanceSport. Winners of this competition are recognized as the USA National Champions and are sent to represent the USA at the WDSF World Championships.
Danil Akimov is a globally recognized dancer who has gained international acclaim from cities and audiences alike for his professionalism and talent. Danil got 1st Place at 2024 USA Dance National DanceSport Championship 2024 (WDSF), categorized Junior, Latin Program. Dance sport refers to competitive dancing as opposed to social or exhibition dancing. The name was coined to help competitive ballroom dancing at Olympic recognition. Danil is also eligible and was invited to represent USA Dance at the WDO Youth, 10-Dance World Championship that is scheduled between now & the 2025 USA Dance Nationals. Based on his achievements, USA Dance invites Danil to join Team USA as the official USA representative at the WDSF Junior 2, Latin World Championship on July 17, 2024, in Wuxi, China. Danil’s hard work, dedication to this sport, and accomplishments are appreciated and are greatly commended by experts in this sport field.
Based on Akimov’s achievements, USA Dance invites him also to join Team USA as the official USA representatives at the WDSF Youth 10-Dance World Championships taking place on November 9, 2024, in Vila Nova de Famalicao, Portugal. And it never ends! In addition, Danil is also eligible to represent USA Dance at the WDO Youth, 10- Dance World Championship should one be scheduled between now & the 2025 USA Dance Nationals. Mr. Akimov is an exceptional individual, possessing a rare combination of dedication, integrity, and talent. His passion for dance is evident in every performance, and his commitment to his craft is truly inspiring. Danil showed excellent results on the most prestigious ballrooms and Latin dance competitions in the United States, including the Ohio Ball in 2023 and the Hollywood Dance Competition 2023, where he emerged as a champion. In each instance, he has showcased not only his technical prowess but also his unique artistic vision and style, setting him apart from his peers. His talent, coupled with his professionalism and integrity, makes him a valuable asset to the world dance community. Young talent, Ukrainian winner of national competitions, international dancer became in 2023 the Junior Standard Champion of Canada and the Junior Ten-Dance Champion of Canada. He represented in such young age Canada at the WDSF Junior DanceSport World Championship among ten dancers in Bremen, Germany.
