The world has gone upside down in the past two to three years, and apparently, this became a source of inspiration for designers Victor and Rolf, who used it as their theme for the Haute Couture spring collection. What began on a calm note with elegant tulle dresses, soon turned topsy-turvy. See for yourself.

The conceptual fashion design duo Viktor & Rolf unveiled an entirely new women’s silhouette—or rather, several new silhouettes. and let’s just say they’re pretty unusual! According to fashion connoisseurs, Victor and Rolf may have surpassed all expectations with this collection.

The Dutch fashion house also said in its post that the dresses were meant to evoke “an abstract sense of surrealism.”

Celebrities, like the models, were seen wearing daring outfits to the event.

Ogee wore the “naked” trend for the runway event.

The musician was wearing a black bra top and black high-waisted underwear that were both visible through the transparent white fabric. The dress was cut below the knee in the front and had a long train in the back. Although the black looks good, I think it would look better with skin-tone underwear. Her makeup looks like Priyanka Chopra’s look at the Met Gala!

Another goth affair

Poppy donned her signature gothic look by wearing a minidress with ruffles. The black dress had puffy sleeves and a partially lace-covered, semi-sheer bodice.

She paired it with glaring sunglasses and lace-up platform heels. I think the dramatic sleeves and lace-up detail are a great way to give the intense look a touch of femininity. This look is reminiscent of a high school show character who is about to wreck your car.

Pastel chic

A pastel, multicolored gown with a plunging neckline was worn by Tina Leung. The gown was made of satin, and the bold neckline, held together by bows, is everything! The actor’s makeup, which included everything from her lilac eyeshadow to her teal hair, also featured pastel details. The brown stripe across her torso will almost trick you into thinking it’s a two-piece set. The amazing color scheme makes this one of my favorites.

Sheer FTW

Everything sheer will be a major fashion trend in 2023, as the fashion gods have already predicted. and the show already provides us with a glimpse of it. Coco Rocha wore a floor-length dress that was completely transparent. The dress’s ruched detail just makes it more romantic. And take note of those heels! They are so stunning that you would be willing to give up your entire salary for them.

Breaking the gender bias

Doja Cat has really been on her A-game for this PFW. Her stylist definitely needs a raise. She picked a suit with stripes, high-waisted pants, and a big jacket.

She wore pointed pumps, blue-colored sunglasses, and a white-and-green blouse with the brown two-piece set.

But her makeup, just like the musician’s look at Schiaparelli’s show on Monday, stole the show. Doja had a mustache, a goatee, and fake eyelashes for eyebrows. I mean, only she could ace this look with finesse.

Lisa Rinna

One of the many celebrities who attended Viktor & Rolf’s Spring/Summer 2023 show was Lisa Rinna.

She wore a quilt-like minidress with ruffled tulle lining the neckline and sleeves. Additionally, it featured a layer of lace that gave it a high neckline.

I’m not sure about you, but I have to give this look a thumbs down. Despite my admiration for the garment’s silhouette, I believe the patchwork just off-sets it. I wish that something more fluid was used in place of the quilt-like patchwork.

Noah Cyrus

Like her sister, this Noah Cyrus sibling does not fall behind in fashion. Noah wore an absolutely stunning, out-of-the-box gown. The patchwork dress had textured fabric covering the chest and hemline, and the bodice and skirt were made of different shades of fabric.

Cyrus’ numerous tattoos on her arms and shoulders were made even more noticeable by the gown’s silhouette.

The dress also has pockets! Isn’t that what we girls adore? Additionally, notice the bleached brows! Omg! With the brows, the makeup looks amazing. It strikes me as the ideal balance of edgy and feminine, just like her personality.

I was surprised to see Viktor & Rolf perform at their Spring/Summer 2023 show this season. I’m talking about something completely out of the ordinary. The collections created by the designers never fail to awe us.
