Accept help

Accepting and asking for help is essential, especially during the early stages of motherhood. Remember that your body is still recovering, so avoid doing everything on your own. Accept any form of help from others, no matter how minor it is. If help is unavailable, hire professionals that provide essential services such as cleaning and laundry. Having a few hours or even minutes to yourself can do wonders for your overall well-being.

Filter the advice

As a first-time mom, it is perfectly natural to second-guess your decisions. Some well-meaning loved ones might also give you unsolicited advice, especially if they have been on this journey multiple times. While some might be helpful, you must learn to filter the information you’re getting and do what works for you and your baby. Trust your motherly instincts and be confident with your parenting choices.

Avoid comparing

Comparing your motherhood journey to others is unnecessary and futile, as no two are alike. Constantly comparing yourself to other mothers will only lead to dissatisfaction and lower self-esteem. You should also avoid comparing your little one to other children, as every child develops at their own pace. Prioritize self-care

Remember that your well-being is equally important, so always make self-care a priority.
