Sage as a color is appropriate for spring because of how subtle yet cheery it is. Sage color belongs to the family of green. It is symbolic of youthfulness and joy and obviously was all the rage in the fashion world for the year 2020. There are so many variations of the sage green color that you can try to create a color block or use it as a monochrome that will revolutionize how you style yourself in an everyday scenario!

Check out these styling tips to incorporate the shade in your daily wardrobe!

Styling With a Jacket

Sage as a color is very chic, and the best part about it is that you can dress up or dress down. Also, the best part about the color is you can both wear it to work and make it a party color just by how you accessorize it. For instance, if you want to wear a sage-colored formal jacket and wear a white tank underneath and, let’s say, very light beige straight pants, it will be perfect for a very chic office event.

You can also incorporate the sage color into your winter wear. In that case, you can always try to wear a longer jacket with a coral shirt or tank top and jeans or light pants. This will add a little color to your wardrobe, which will be very fitting with the subtlety of color combination. Still, it will also be very appropriate with the winter theme and the color to be followed.

Styling Sage Pants

Sage color pants are the easiest way to make a statement for someone who would not want to add color to their shirts or tops. You can always try to add a cigarette cut pant or a palazzo to your attire and then add a very neutral colored top or T-shirt or tank to make sure that you neutralize the color tone.

The only reason why you shouldn’t add very vibrant colored clothing on sage color pants is that it might draw too much attention and wash out the lower half of your body. This tends to offer a weird illusion to the body and slightly shift your body’s structure.

Mixing Sage Color Tone

Always keep in mind sage color elevates the darker shades and gives it that pop of color, and as we have mentioned previously, the sage color should not be restricted only as a spring color.
As the world progresses deeper into the winter months, it is noticed that fashion revolves around faux leather straight pants and dark green tones. Hence, if someone is wearing an emerald green top or cowl neck or a turtle neck and faux leather pants, you can always bring about a sage green jacket to add to the pop of color.

Now, to add to the same theme, in this case, if you want to add sage green pants, you can always try to add a darker shade of sage green straight pants with an emerald-colored top, this way you are just adding shades of the color green to your outfit creating a sense adjacent to the monochrome shading.
As mentioned previously, make sure that the pants are not of the lightest shade of sage green, as it might play with the sense of the structure that is being created by your outfit.

Go Monochrome

It will always be a fantastic plan to go for a monochromatic look with a sage green top and a sage green bottom. This monochromatic theme works brilliantly well with skirts, but it will also not be chic if you wear pants. Let’s say that while making it monochrome, and if you think that the color is washing you out, you can always try a shade darker and replace the top half or the bottom half of your clothing, so it’s not far from the color scheme. But then again, there is the break in the structure created by the monochromatic shade you are trying to create.

There is no right or wrong way to wear sage green! You can always mix and match the colors and bring a revolutionary outfit that will get your style sense to the forefront and make you chic.
