First dates and rollercoaster rides are bizarrely similar. There is the high of excitement mixed with the stubborn need to look your best. We are here to lighten your load with a few easy tips so that your first date is more about the butterflies and less about the stress of looking your best. Read along to know more.

The Basics

Hair, nails, and shoes: the three horsemen of an impeccable look and amazing first impressions Make sure that you have all three in order before you step out. And if you are in the mood for some experimenting, try out a new hairstyle. But always keep in mind that a hairstyle can either make or break a look. Make sure not to overuse products because, when it comes to hair care, a little can go a long way. A little bit of dry shampoo or some hairspray might do the job. And to avoid all the fuss of sticky hair, go for the tried-and-tested method of shampooing your hair the day before and using a generous amount of conditioner so that your tresses look regal and beautiful.

A Good Night’s Sleep

Never miss out on your beauty sleep before your first date. Excitement might be keeping you on your toes, but make sure that you get enough rest so that your eyes are not put to test the next day.

Outfits

When it comes to your outfit, girls, keep in mind not to go overboard. You want to appear confident and authentic. If you understand what I mean, you also don’t want to put in much effort. Therefore, you should avoid wearing a lot of silhouettes that are too tight because you will be constantly conscious when you are wearing something that is very hugging and a little tight, and you won’t be able to drink or eat freely either. You will constantly be looking down on the fabric of your skirt or garment. Imagine putting on sequins, which I believe is too much for a first date. Therefore, don’t use too much sequin or print. Go for something a little sexy while also being somewhat reserved. If it’s a brunch date, you can definitely wear a nice pair of classic blue jeans and a nice one-sided off-shoulder top. The most timeless item of clothing a woman can own is a pair of jeans. If you wear it in the right size and pair it with a nice bag and a nice slip, you can look extremely sexy. It can make a huge difference. And if you have something like dinner or a night out, stick with black. If in doubt, choose black. I find black to be an extremely sexy color.

Makeup

Just like with an outfit, even with makeup, balance is the key. Make sure to use makeup in such a way that it highlights your natural looks and brings out your best features. Ultimately, it all comes down to you. Wear what makes you feel confident. If you love what you see in the mirror, then there is nothing else to worry about. As simple as that.

Hairstyles

Deciding on a hairstyle can cause quite a dilemma before a first date. You might stand before the mirror and try out a hundred hairstyles and still be at a loss. You are not alone. Managing those glorious tresses can be a task at times. On your date, maintain the fun vibe and perhaps stay away from those tight parlor curls. And maybe it’s not the right occasion for massive buns and poofy hairstyles. Let’s make “simple and confident” the motto for first dates. But hey, if your idea of fun is different, then do not shy away from trying it out. Because the most important part of a date is being confident in your own skin,

Footwear

Also, remember to stick to wedge heels and block heels; they give you height and are also super comfortable. Avoid heels like pencil heels; they are very stretched and will basically be uncomfortable, so avoid them.

What’s in the bag?

Most importantly, right before you leave the house, you need to take care that you have all your essentials packed in your bag. Because if you’re traveling in a cab and the ride is, you know, a long one, like a one-hour ride or even a 45-minute ride, you might want to touch up right before you get off the car. So carry a compact powder, which is very important, so you can check yourself out. You can do a lipstick check to make sure that your lipstick is not on your teeth. Always, always, always carry some nice perfume. Have a pocket perfume so you can spritz it on yourself right before you get off the car, and then carry some mint.

Have a lovely date, you guys!
